Modern SC body shape

Martin’s SC body shape is the result of over half a decade of research and tests. After much painstaking engineering, they’ve achieved their goal — a supremely playable acoustic-electric guitar that sounds great with a feel somewhere between an acoustic and a standard electric guitar. The SC’s deep cutaway and body contours naturally reduce feedback, so you get the ability to play louder and harder when plugging in, plus unfettered access to upper frets. The SC also sports a thinner more playable fingerboard, a 13th fret neck joint for a more responsive string feel, and a velocity barrel neck that’s tapered to give you ideal anchor space at every part of the neck.

Next-gen Fishman Aura electronics

With so many different acoustic guitar pickup options, it can be hard to find your No. 1 fit. But with the SC13's Fishman Aura VT Blend electronics, you don’t have to compromise or settle on just one pickup. The Aura VT Blend features a standard under-saddle pickup with traditional amplified acoustic tone which is great for loud band settings, but for a more high-fidelity option, Aura VT Blend also features a one-of-kind blend knob. The blend knob lets you mix in an HD image of your tone that rivals what you’d expect from a mic'd acoustic in a professional studio that's saturated with richness and full-spectrum warmth. For even more variety, you can adjust the HD image’s tone to your liking with a contour knob that highlights various degrees of lows and highs while proportionally scooping the mids.
