The JHS Plugin may sport a Legends of Fuzz-standard sloped metal enclosure, but this fuzzbox’s pedal of inspiration, the Jordan Boss Tone, originally came in a compact plastic enclosure that plugged straight into the guitar’s input jack! Still, while Josh Scott and company may have chosen a drastically different form factor from the original, the Plugin captures every detail of the Boss Tone’s wild, raunchy sound — a tone that offers everything from a smooth ‘60s-style saturation to screaming treble-boosted fuzz. Moreover, the Plugin continues the JHS Legends of Fuzz Tradition with a side-mounted Mode switch for extended tonal flexibility. If you’re after old-school Boss Tone attitude but with all the benefits of modern pedal construction, simply plug in a JHS Legends of Fuzz Plugin pedal!

So, why does the JHS Plugin — a pedal replicating a legendary fuzz box plugged straight into the guitar’s input jack — come in a floor-based stompbox format? The answer is simple: it’s a superior design for most guitarists. Direct plug-in pedals certainly have plenty of retro charm, but they’re easily damaged and can often get in the way.
