The Ibanez SR600E electric bass is a no-nonsense machine with an eye-catching design and quality craftsmanship. Featuring a resonant, lightweight ash body with a satin finish, this bass kicks out stellar tone. The 5-piece jatoba/walnut neck with rosewood fingerboard is incredibly playable and responsive, great for laying down solid grooves. A pair of Nordstrand Big Break pickups also gives you a variety of sounds to explore. Round it out with custom Ibanez electronics and a 3-band EQ, and you get a full-force 4-string bass that's perfect for any playing situation you can imagine.
Designed by renowned pickup builder Carey Nordstrand, Nordstrand Big Break pickups pump out powerful aggression and grit when used with the SR600E. By cramming a split-coil into a soapbar-style pup, Big Break pickups produce a massive, full-bodied sound while still retaining the clarity and character of a single-coil. Bassists love the added benefit of noiseless operation for cleaner tone, and you will, too.
Constructed using a 5-piece jatoba/walnut neck topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the SR600E’s beautifully smooth and responsive neck is ideal for fast runs, smooth grooves, and chugging pick-driven attack. The 34-inch scale length and 24 medium frets on the SR600E feel great and sound even better; plus, the addition of an Accu-cast B500 bridge lends stellar sustain and tone support to any style of play.
