This guitar has every feature that you'd want in an everyday workhorse guitar, and goes further by including beautiful finishing touches. The pickups are the best sounding single coil Stratocaster pickups I've ever played. They chime where you want them to, and they growl appropriately when needed. I've heard many people critique the no-load tone control as a 'gimmick', but it really helps the bridge pickup standout in a mix, and with various effects and amps, I can get bell-like sounds that I've previously been unable to achieve. The neck pickup has the most amazing clean of a single-coil strat (that I've ever played), producing almost acoustic like resonance with full volume and tone. When played through my AC30 the tone is almost untouchable. The neck on this guitar produces a playability that is pretty much unparalleled. They call it a modern-C, but when added to the medium jumbo frets and compound radius, you can play with precision both extremely light and as heavy as you want. This leads to less hand fatigue after hours of playing (for me), and it is really a joy. The weight is also appreciatively light, which allows for less fatigue as well. All of these attributes make it hard for me to put this guitar down in favour of any of my others. Once I pick it up, I can expect to lose a few hours as I time warp into improvisational paradise...
